Mid Autumn Festival or Moon Cake Festival.
Time for beautiful lanterns and eating mooncakes.
It was so fun during childhood day. We had paper lanterns and we would light up the lanterns, went walking round and round the housing area. Yes, I remembered my big butterfly lantern. No sure if my sisters remember my butterly lantern.

Aunt Amanda wanted us to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival. Aunt Lucy cooked fantastic yoghurt rice and chicken curry. Everyone brought their special dishes. Aunt Amanda asked me not to cook due to my work schedule. As I always feel shy going to pple 's home empty handed, I baked fresh apple pie and chocolate yoghurt cake. Both turned out fantastically. I was very pleased with my apple pie, I must say. Hardly any sugar as I usually cut it all down plus the fresh red apples were so sweet. Mind you, I used lots of apples, homemade anyway.  Really delicious apple pie.  The crust was brilliant- I absolutely loved it. The fillings were all fresh cooked red apples.

The chocolate yoghurt cake was very moist. The cocoa was an addition to the supposed plain yoghurt cake.

The festival must have moon cakes. Since we are very much into baking, Aunt Amanda & family, YV and I teamed up to make our own mooncakes. It is hard to get the mould here hence we used the jelly mould to make our mooncakes. Pretty petite mooncakes. Edible and fairly delicious.... good effort team work definitely. So much fun doing it.
